Těžký náklad, těsné podjezdy, změny tras na poslední chvíli a technické improvizace – přeprava tří výměníků z Pardubic do Liberce nebyla rozhodně rutinní operací. Během dubna a května jsme ve společnosti Rohlig SUUS Logistics zrealizovali šest tuzemských přeprav v režimu nadrozměrné dopravy, které prověřily nejen naši připravenost, ale i schopnost přizpůsobit se v reálném čase.

Maritime freight plays a key role in global trade. According to the IMO (International Maritime Organization), about 80-90% of global trade is carried out by this service. Maritime shipping not only connects markets from different continents but also plays an important geopolitical role. This is confirmed by the events of the last 2-3 years. Climatic factors such as the drought limiting the capacity of the Panama Canal and attacks by Yemeni militants in the Suez Canal show that the turbulence of the maritime freight market directly affect global business.

The energy storage sector is experiencing dynamic growth, driving increasing interest in the logistical management of various storage systems, including battery energy storage systems (BESS). The challenges associated with their transportation stem from their above-standard weight and classification as potentially dangerous goods. How do we deal with this task? What, often non-standard, measures do we take?

Tomasz Podgórski has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer at Rohlig SUUS Logistics, the largest Polish logistics operator. He has also joined the company’s Management Board and will be responsible for overseeing financial management both in Poland and across international branches.

We have been present in Kazakhstan for a year now. In autumn 2023, we launched operations at the Almaty branch, where we provide a full range of services, including road, air, rail, intermodal freights , and warehouse logistics. What were the reasons for the expansion?

Undoubtedly, this event will have a significant impact on our national economy. Trade exchange, especially with our European partners, is crucial for our development. Both imports and exports, which have often increased in recent years, are key drivers of the economy. For instance, between 2018 and 2022, imports rose by approximately 53.9%, while exports grew by about 43.6%. This trend was halted in 2023 due to an economic downturn, but the numbers remained positive.

Rohlig SUUS Logistics, Polish largest logistics operator, has opened a warehouse dedicated to serving the products of Hisense, a global manufacturer of household appliances and consumer electronics. The new distribution centre allows the handling of a larger volume of goods and the consolidation of the existing operations in one place. This translates into cost reductions and more efficient customer support in the domestic and international markets. The facility is located in the P3 Warsaw I logistics park.

Renewable energy sources, especially photovoltaic panels, are gaining popularity in various forms - from warehouses and production facilities to residential purposes. As a result, companies in this sector are constantly looking for more efficient solutions for transport and storage. What factors should be considered in the logistics of solar panels? How can challenges be effectively managed?

Black Friday, Black Week, and Cyber Monday remain highly popular in Poland, with this year seeing even greater interest compared to last year. According to an analysis by the payment operator Tpay, online sellers experienced a 136% increase in turnover during Black Friday 2024 compared to the rest of the month. This marks a significant rise from the previous year, when the increase was 116%.
