International road transport from multiple loading points, delivery to a restricted city center, and strict time slots aligned with the installation schedule – this was the scope of the go-kart track supply chain project we managed at SUUS. To ensure smooth execution, we implemented a tailor-made logistics solution designed to support operational efficiency.

Our task was to manage the end-to-end supply chain for go-kart track components, transporting them from several locations in Slovenia to a designated site in the city center in Rennes (France), where the entire track was being assembled. Our team managed the full process – from planning and carrier selection to execution and on-site coordination – ensuring that each stage of the operation ran smoothly.

Challenging city center delivery conditions

The key challenge was the delivery site itself. Located in a dense urban area, it did not allow access for standard full truckload (FTL) vehicles due to infrastructure constraints, which required selecting alternative transport solutions adapted to the location.

To address these limitations, we designed a tailor-made transport concept from the very beginning. Instead of standard trailers, we deployed 7 smaller trucks (19-ton vehicles) equipped with tail lifts, enabling efficient unloading in restricted urban conditions.

Strict timeline and operational continuity

The project was highly time-sensitive, with the client’s installation team already on-site and dependent on timely deliveries. Any delays could have directly impacted the project schedule and generated additional costs.

Thanks to precise planning and coordinated execution, all deliveries were completed on time. This ensured smooth unloading in a restricted urban environment, no delays for the installation team, and full continuity of the client’s project execution.

International road transport from various loading spots

At the same time, the operation involved coordinating multiple loading points located across different parts of Slovenia, each requiring a separate pickup and precise alignment within the overall transport plan. This required careful planning of routes, loading sequences, and vehicle allocation to ensure efficient consolidation of shipments and seamless execution of international transport to the final destination.
