"Logistics serves as a network of interconnected channels, particularly evident in sustainable development initiatives. Thus, we prioritize emission reduction efforts and seek partners — customers, carriers, shipowners, and airlines — willing to commit to long-term, stable partnerships to advance these objectives. At SUUS, we view ESG not merely as a challenge, but also as an opportunity to innovate new business models. Green logistics options not only diminish carbon footprints, but also cut costs and enhance business efficiency,"
explains Magdalena Lejman, Head of PR & ESG.

As part of our environmental management, we prioritize optimizing cargo space utilization through careful route planning and scheduling vehicle departures. We measure this on our domestic groupage lines, achieving an average trailer fill percentage of 95.3%. For our international groupage lines, the average load is 90%.
We calculate our emissions across three scopes. Recognizing the role of our customers and partners in the supply chain, we place significant emphasis on continuously improving our carbon footprint calculation process. In 2024, our decarbonization goals were audited by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The Climate Credibility Pillar focuses on two areas where we have the greatest impact due to the nature of our operations: greenhouse gas emissions and waste generation. We aim to reduce emissions by improving the energy and thermal efficiency of our facilities, utilizing renewable energy, and transforming our fleet. To ensure our partners can trust the goals we've set, we have subjected them to an audit by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

SUUS operates the well-being program, which takes a holistic approach to addressing human needs. It focuses on supporting mental resilience, nurturing a healthy mind and body, and providing psychoeducation on self-care and supporting others. The program aims to enhance employee health, working conditions, and job satisfaction. It includes manager training to recognize signs of mental distress in employees. Additionally, an 8-week MBSR stress reduction course is available. Each employee also has access to free and anonymous psychological support through the HearMe platform, offering assistance from specialists across various fields, along with free materials and webinars.
SUUS Active is a program that encourages employees to prioritize their health through participation in various sports competitions, gym classes, yoga, dancing, as well as marches and walks. Any employee who has created an account in the WorkSmile application and joined the challenge implemented by ROHLIG SUUS Logistics can participate in the program.
As a family-oriented company, we understand the importance of family, which is why we offer several programs to support SUUS parents. One of our longstanding initiatives is the 'Mom Returns to Work' program, designed for expecting mothers. Participants receive a comprehensive folder containing all necessary documents related to childbirth and maternity leave, along with a calendar to assist with navigating these formalities. Additionally, each newborn member of the SUUS community receives a small gift, affectionately named the Whisbear as part of their layette. Upon returning from maternity leave, employees are welcomed back with a gift and offered training sessions to help them balance work with their role as a parent. We facilitate a smooth and comfortable transition back to work by gradually increasing working hours.
We prioritize mutual understanding and a positive work atmosphere. By being aware of the responsibilities of departments collaborating with us, we enhance the efficiency and quality of our services. Understanding the daily challenges our colleagues face allows us to better plan our own work and set more realistic expectations. Processes such as planning, loading, unloading, collections, and deliveries are intricate and require dedicated efforts from dispatchers, drivers, and customer service specialists who maintain constant communication with our customers. From August to November 2022, we launched the 'Know, Understand, Respect' project. This initiative aimed to foster an understanding of how the work conducted by the Customer Service and Driver Service Department impacts other departments and to familiarize ourselves with the specific tasks of each department.
We're cultivating an organizational culture centered around comprehensive development and collaborative innovation. Continuous growth is ingrained in our ethical principles. With a skilled and dedicated team, we consistently surpass market expectations. At SUUS, we ensure equal opportunities for all members to advance professionally.
