Production continuity, predictable deliveries and full alignment of transport operations with cargo specifications are key requirements for companies managing regular international flows. To ensure these objectives are met, stable and flexible transport solutions are essential – and this is precisely how we approach cooperation with our clients at Rohlig SUUS Logistics. For one of manufacturer, we implemented a comprehensive cross-border service model. It includes a regular full truckload connection network between production plants in Germany and Italy, a dedicated fleet assigned to the project, and specialized trailer equipment tailored to the transported goods.

Road service based on a fixed transport network

Following a detailed analysis of the client’s requirements, business processes and cargo volumes, we designed a regular full truckload connection network on the Germany–Italy route. We carry out daily transports between the client’s production facilities located near Berlin and near Venice (Northern Italy).
On the Italy–Germany route, we also serve companies from various industries. Thanks to our permanent presence on this corridor, they benefit from fast and reliable deliveries over a distance of approximately 1,200 km – often arranged on very short notice.
This operating model ensures smooth and predictable cargo flows while securing operational stability.

Trailers and infrastructure tailored to cargo specifications

A key component of the project involved upgrading trailers for cargo transport. We implemented specialized equipment designed by the client, enabling secure load securing and more efficient use of loading space on the Germany–Italy route. Thanks to the quick dismantling capability of this equipment, vehicles can be flexibly deployed on return routes, reducing empty runs and optimizing overall transport costs.

Dedicated fleet and experienced drivers

For this project, we assigned a dedicated carriers’ fleet supported by more than 30 regular drivers who operate these routes on a daily basis. This model translates into in-depth familiarity with the operational process and cargo specifications.
Drivers are additionally trained in the assembly and disassembly of the specialized transport equipment. A consistent team ensures higher cargo security, operational efficiency and standardized service quality.

Operational team and system integrations

The project is managed by a specialized Rohlig SUUS Logistics team responsible for international cross-border and cabotage road transport – the International FTL Fleet Control Tower. Leveraging operational expertise, in-depth knowledge of European markets and an extensive base of trusted carriers, we comprehensively organize international transport processes across all European corridors.
An important element of the cooperation is system integration with the client, which streamlines and accelerates data exchange while ensuring full visibility of ongoing transports. The client has real-time access to shipment status (visibility), enhancing process control and supporting forward planning.

Long-term cooperation and project development

Our cooperation with the client began many years ago and continues to grow. In parallel with the Germany–Italy network, we also operate the Polan–Germany transports using the same trailer equipment configuration. It confirms the effectiveness of the model and its flexibility in addressing the client’s operational needs.

Fast full truckload transport from Italy to Germany

Due to the permanent presence of our dedicated fleet on the Italy–Germany corridor, we are open to cooperation with new clients interested in regular or ad hoc transports from Northern Italy to Eastern Germany. We provide predictable transit times, stable transport capacity availability and competitive conditions resulting from optimized reduction of empty mileage.

At Rohlig SUUS Logistics, we deliver comprehensive international road transport services across Europe.

  •  We operate both fixed, regular transport services and one-off project shipments, depending on client requirements.
  • We design tailored transport networks based on a detailed analysis of volumes, business processes and operational requirements.
