Rohlig SUUS Logistics, a leading logistics operator in Central and Eastern Europe, is expanding its presence in Romania with warehousing services. The company now offers storage, order picking, co-packing as well as terminal handling, addressing the growing needs of customers in the region. This new service complements SUUS’s broad portfolio in the Romanian market, which already includes road, rail, air and sea transport, intermodal solutions, and customs clearance.

Rohlig SUUS Logistics has been present in Romania for five years with a subsidiary in Bucharest. Recognizing both the growing customer demand and the rapid development of the local market, SUUS is now launching warehousing services in cooperation with trusted partners. The company offers storage, order picking, and a wide range of value-added services (e.g. co-packing, creating product sets, and promotional stands), as well as terminal handling. This is an important addition to the operator's existing offering in the country. This portfolio includes road, rail, air and sea transport, intermodal solutions, customs clearance, and project cargo handling.

Paweł Michalak, Contract Logistics CEE Director, Rohlig SUUS Logistics, says: "Warehousing solutions are a key pillar of efficient and resilient supply chains. They allow companies to keep inventory closer to sales markets and ensure continuity of production and distribution, while value-added services such as co-packing or labelling are crucial for effective product placement. We are seeing strong demand for these solutions across the CEE region, driven also by a broader global trend of moving production and logistics centres closer to final markets. Romania is one of the most attractive area for that shift."

Dragos Boranda, Managing Director of Rohlig SUUS Logistics in Romania, emphasizes: "Romania has been one of Europe’s leaders in economic growth over the past thirty years, with industries such as automotive, steel, and chemicals as its main pillars. The country’s investment attractiveness is further enhanced by its geographic location, supported by rapidly developing transport infrastructure – including the Port of Constanța – which makes it a natural logistics hub for the region, particularly the Balkans as well as Central and Southern Europe. Romania’s accession to the Schengen zone has additionally simplified cross-border operations. As a result, demand for end-to-end logistics support, including warehousing, is growing. At SUUS, we are seizing this opportunity."

SUUS’s international expansion

The development of services in Romania is part of SUUS’s broader expansion strategy in the CEECA region (Central and Eastern Europe & Central Asia). In addition to its home market in Poland and operations in Romania, the company also has subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, and most recently in Ukraine.
