The automotive seating industry is a sector defined by immense dynamism, rigorous quality standards, and uncompromising punctuality. Every project involves a flow of critical components, such as seat frames and interior elements, where even the slightest delay can halt production lines and destabilize the entire supply chain. This approach was applied in a project delivered for a global automotive seating systems manufacturer, where Rohlig SUUS Logistics coordinated regular material flows between the production plant Slovakia, and multiple automotive facilities across Europe — including Poland, Serbia, France, Germany, Portugal and Spain. The project required a stable yet flexible logistics setup capable of adapting to changing production volumes, synchronized delivery schedules and ongoing operational requirements across multiple locations.
Stable and flexible transport operations
To support uninterrupted material flow between production facilities, we implemented a transport model based primarily on regular FTL operations, supported by occasional LTL shipments when required by production dynamics and cargo volumes.
The logistics setup included:
