Efficient Warehouse Logistics for Small Domestic Appliances: SUUS and Amica Collaboration

Logistics operates as an interconnected system. Key warehouse operations, such as goods receipt, storage, and order fulfillment, play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient distribution. This is exemplified by our partnership with Amica, the leading Polish manufacturer of household appliances.

In the supply chain for Amica, we provide support in contract logistics for products in the small domestic appliance (SDA) category, including vacuum cleaners, toasters, blenders, and deep fryers. Additionally, we manage the e-commerce channel for spare parts, such as range hood filters, vacuum cleaner bags, guides, and oven trays. We tailor appropriate solutions at every stage of warehouse operations, which not only enhances efficiency in this area but also ensures seamless distribution.

In the goods receipt and storage processes, we focus on:

• a dedicated conveyor system for unloading sea containers, which significantly speeds up operations,
• storing goods in two separate segments according to the distribution channel – B2B and B2C – which later improves the order fulfillment process,
• value-added services (VAS), including labeling and adding promotional materials to products, such as brochures.

In the stage of preparing goods for distribution:

• we ensure full flexibility in order fulfillment, preparing: 
  o homogeneous pallets – one type of product per pallet,
  o mixed pallets – different product categories on a single pallet,
  o packages for the e-commerce channel,
• we tailor pallet shipments to the specific requirements of each point of sale, e.g., some retail chains require the use of disposable pallets,
• we have optimized the packaging system for e-commerce shipments, ensuring proper protection of the goods while also maintaining an aesthetically pleasing presentation, which is crucial for how the appliance manufacturer is perceived by consumers.

Moreover, a key element of the effectiveness of our collaboration is the full system integration with the client, which enables smooth information flow, such as details about new orders. All warehouse operations are carried out in our state-of-the-art logistics center in Poznan.
