Co-packing services provide tangible support for sales operations. Product displays increase on-shelf visibility and improve product availability for the end customer. Well-designed co-packing processes, however, can deliver even greater value—enabling circular-economy practices such as the recovery and reuse of outer packaging. This translates into clear financial benefits and a lower environmental footprint.
Check out how it works in practice based on our collaboration with Cortina, a manufacturer of seasonal products.
A comprehensive scope of co-packing services for Cortina:
- Deconsolidation of sea containers (imports from China), palletisation and storage of goods in our Kraków warehouse;
- Assembly of promotional displays in line with guidelines, and distribution to retail distribution centres—via both full-truckload and groupage road transport;
- Management of replenishment shipments, aligned with current store demand;
- Systematic recovery of outer cartons, generating real savings and reducing the consumption of new packaging materials.
How does the carton recovery process work?
- Cartons used for inbound shipments are manually sorted, flattened and stacked on pallets;
- They are stored in our warehouse and then transported to the client’s facility;
- There, they are reused in other logistics processes;
- Process efficiency: 95% of cartons are suitable for reuse.
What are the key benefits?
- Cost savings – the client no longer needs to purchase new cartons;
- Environmental impact – reduced carbon footprint and lower demand for virgin paper, helping to preserve forest resources;
- Full operational service provided by SUUS – recovery, securing and transport;
- A shift from waste to a fully valuable operational resource.
Client’s perspective on the collaboration
“Environmental considerations are a key part of our business, so we look for solutions that help us reduce our carbon footprint in every area. The packaging-recovery process for reuse fits perfectly into this approach. We firmly believe that responsibility for the planet starts with daily decisions—including operational ones”, says Grzegorz Nowak, Cortina
