As the new school year approaches, we see shelves full of notebooks, pens and pencils, among other things. Therefore, the challenge for manufacturers is to present their articles in the best possible way so that consumers will reach for them. In cooperation with our client St. Majewski, we took on this task. As part of the co-packing service, we prepared more than 9,000 displays with plasticine and drawing and technical blocks.

What exactly did the project consist of?
On the preparation of two types of displays that were part of in-store stands. One contained plasticine packs and the other contained drawing and technical blocks. At first glance, this seems like an uncomplicated project, but the challenge was that one variant had to contain 20 types of plasticine and the other 40 types of blocks. The whole process took place at our branch in Wrocław.

How did we approach the co-packing action?
As the number of plasticine and block variants varied considerably, we adopted two packaging methods. One-person stations were set up to pack the plastellas. Each station contained pallets with the individual products included in the display. The employee's task was to pack the number of products indicated by the customer.

In turn, a packaging line was set up for the packaging of the blocks, with a total of 22 stations. A worker located at a particular position on the production belt would add a certain number of blocks to a carton that was moving along the belt. On the other hand, the person in front of the line was responsible for assembling and delivering the empty cartons, while another person behind the line had the task of, among other things, stacking the cartons on a pallet.

Once all the plasticine and blocks were packed, regular shipments were made to the addresses indicated by the customer using full truckloads of road transport.

The result of the project?
Happy pupils, in addition to:

3,850 displays containing 66 plastellas (in 20 types) each, i.e. a confection of 254,100 packs,
5 240 displays with the content of 90 technical and drawing blocks (in 40 types) in each, a total confection of 471 600 articles.
The entire project is a co-packing of 725,700 products into 9,090 displays.
