On August 19, we celebrated World Humanitarian Day. On this occasion, Rohlig SUUS Logistics and the Bank Żywności SOS in Warsaw prepared educational material to support donors in the process of properly preparing and transporting humanitarian aid.
Humanitarian aid is usually needed suddenly, so the timing of its delivery plays a key role in the whole process. Past experience has shown us that the proper division of products, their proper packaging and description significantly accelerates the work in the transshipment warehouses, and thus efficient aid to where it is needed most.
Analyzing the challenges in the transportation process, it is impossible not to mention customs clearance, which requires following strict procedures and completing the necessary documentation. The Helpbook describes step-by-step the process of preparing shipments, selecting the mode of transportation and gathering documents for a smooth customs clearance.
In developing the material, the team relied on the experience of Rohlig SUUS Logistics' Rzeszow branch, which has been supporting shipments to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian aggression.
