On the 1st of May 1852, in the city of Bremen, Carl Röhlig founded the company Rohlig providing transportation, shipping and forwarding services.

As the 80’s began, new offices were opened in other European countries, as well as on different continents.

This trend continued in the first half of the twentieth century.
