Polish General Forwarding Rules
Polish General Forwarding Rules are conditions complementary to the Civil Code regulations, regarding shipping services. The Polish Civil Code regulations are general and do not take forwarding market changes into consideration. Polish General Forwarding Rules are revised depending on changes on the forwarding market as well as on changes in the national economy.
The document was prepared in the form of articles by the Polish International Freight Forwarders Association located in Gdynia (like a typical legal act), and then accepted by The Polish Chamber of Commerce. Although Polish General Forwarding Rules are not a statutory law (which means that they are only valid providing that that all parties agree to refer to the rules in the forwarding contract), they have generally been used in the forwarding sector for 50 years.
