We accelerate with e-commerce
17% of domestic supplies of ROHLIG SUUS Logistics are already deliveries to individual customers (B2C), and this share is steadily increasing. The company sees its advantage in warehousing services and delivery of shipments with dimensions larger than the packages accepted by the courier industry and Paczkomaty. Its strengths are also high competence related with the aesthetics of delivered shipments, professional solutions and comprehensive service of supply chain.
According to the forecasts for 2016, the dynamics of online sales will grow by 23% and it is the highest forecast of growth among highly developed countries, including Germany and the UK. The estimated sales value is just over 6 billion EUR, while, for example, in Germany its amount are up to nearly 65 billion EUR – that is 10 times more, which shows the enormous growth of potential for the Polish e-commerce market.
According to the report “E-commerce logistics in Poland. A blazed trail for development of the sector”, the largest projected increase in demand for domestic logistics services in the next five years will concern (next to the categories: fashion, health and beauty) sectors such as: furnishings, home appliances, home and garden and electronics. These are also strategic industries for ROHLIG SUUS Logistics. Therefore, one of the main advantages of the operator are competences in handling shipments of large span of dimensions, including non-palletized, which supply exceeds the capabilities of couriers (over 30kg, more than 0,5m3) and goods with a high sensitivity to damage as furniture, electronic equipment or armature.
