ROHLIG SUUS Logistics with good financial result for 2014 and QI 2015
ROHLIG SUUS Logistics summed up 2014. The company achieved revenues of 574 million PLN, which is an increase of almost 13% compared to 2013. The first quarter of 2015 is a continuation of sales growth of 11.3% compared to the same period last year.
Year 2014 - strong foundations of the financial result
The good results are an effect of a consistently implemented strategy for sustainable development of the complete portfolio of logistics services. This approach makes possible the support for all links of supply chains, and thus better control over the quality and competitiveness of services.
- Recent investments in improving the competitiveness of our logistics centers and IT solutions are factors which affect not only the regular development of contract logistics and distribution, but increase our effectiveness in winning global contracts and so called end-to-end service. As one of the few companies on the Polish market we offer very competitive and complete services, starting with the simultaneous collection of the goods even in dozens of places around the world, the completion and ending with delivery to the final customer. And this is regardless of whether it is the delivery of components for the assembly line to the factory in the East, or distribution to end users in Poland and Europe - said Andrzej Kozlowski, ROHLIG SUUS Logistics Member of the Board, responsible for the global freight.
- National and European groupage cargo in road-, sea- and air-freights, domestic and international FTL, as well as sea containers, intermodal, rail-freight and customs services have the same priorities. In all these areas we dynamically develop our competencies and increase market share. Such a broad spectrum of services allows to achieve a number of synergies for our customers, generates cost savings, permits more effectively manage their supply chains and most importantly - rapidly respond to the changing market situation - says Daniel Franke, ROHLIG SUUS Logistics Member of the Board.
This year, in the 20th edition of transport, freight forwarding and logistics companies ranking ROHLIG SUUS Logistics was again among the three major operators in Poland, providing comprehensive global and national logistics services.
2015 - e-commerce projects and cargo project
In 2015, one of the objectives of ROHLIG SUUS Logistics is further increase of participation in e-commerce sector. The operator directs his offer in particular to companies that generate non-courier shipments, with non-standard dimensions, including electronics / home appliances industry and furniture, the supply of which is beyond the competence of the couriers.
- For many customers who run, or start online sales, it is particularly important to consolidate in the hands of a single logistics supplier both sales channels - traditional and online - says Daniel Franke. - The logistics operator who effectively combines the services of storage space with the delivery of both standard and oversized shipments addressed to diverse customers (stores, warehouses, retail customers), has a significant advantage in this area over courier companies - adds Franke. According to representatives of the company - the ability to simultaneously support multiple sales channels by a single operator is today one of the main expectations of the customers.
In response to the interest of the market, ROHLIG SUUS in 2015 also decided to strengthen the service with which had begun its activities in Poland, which is Project Cargo, separating a department consisting of experts in the field, dedicated exclusively to handle the logistics of investment projects and oversized shipments.
Tadeusz Chmielewski, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, summarizes the company's activities in 2014:
- Another year of organic sales growth at the level of dozen or so percent I consider a success of ROHLIG SUUS Logistics, which the company owes to its strong position of a truly comprehensive logistics operator. It is all with the support of modern infrastructure and through a distributed organization management , which is becoming a world trend. Not without significance is also maintaining an individual approach to customer service, that from the beginning of the company is its core value. This strategy has proved successful because studies show that customers point out ROHLIG SUUS Logistics as the most innovative company on the Polish transportation and logistics market in comparison with key competitors. These results strongly committed the company to an even more intensive work.
