Rohlig SUUS Logistics is proud to be the first company in Poland to receive the prestigious Truckers Friendly Place certificate. This honor was awarded to our Poznań branch following an anonymous survey of drivers' opinions, conducted in collaboration with the Truckers Life Foundation. As the largest Polish logistics operator, we are thrilled to have earned the highest five-star rating from our transport partners.

SUUS rated Five Stars

Rohlig SUUS Logistics is proud to have been the first company in Poland to participate in the Truckers Friendly Place study. The operator conducted an anonymous survey among all drivers visiting its branch in Tarnów Podgórne, near Poznań. Participants evaluated the quality of cooperation, level of communication, and the social and sanitary conditions at the facility. More than 100 drivers took part in the survey, and the results were submitted directly to the Truckers Life Foundation database. These findings were transparently published on the official project website, www.truckersfriendlyplace.eu. The SUUS branch received the highest five-star rating, with drivers giving high marks across all evaluated categories.

– The relationship with carriers and drivers is crucial for us. We want to be their first choice partner. That is why we focus on mutual respect, constant dialogue, and partnership. We regularly conduct internal driver opinion surveys, – says Piotr Winiarski, Fleet Development Manager at Rohlig SUUS Logistics.

– Cooperation with the Truckers Life Foundation was a natural step for us; we share the same values and understand how difficult the daily work of a driver is. Our fleet-building strategy is based 100% on cooperation with carriers. However, we have no doubt that drivers are key to the supply chain and they have a direct impact on the experience of our customers. We realize how difficult this profession is and what they struggle with every day. We try to support them, especially in those areas that depend on us or over which we have at least indirect influence. I am glad that our partners assessed us so positively, – he adds.

SUUS plans to conduct research in additional departments.

Truckers Life Foundation - the voice of drivers in the TSL industry

The transport industry has been grappling with an employee shortage for years. Despite increasingly competitive rates, fewer people are willing to work as drivers. The report "Transport Market in Poland and Europe," prepared by Trans.eu and the Polish Automotive Industry Association, highlights that Poland currently faces a shortage of approximately 150,000 professional drivers. While this figure fluctuates, the issue remains unresolved.

Research conducted by the Truckers Life Foundation reveals that financial incentives alone are no longer enough to encourage drivers to "get behind the wheel." Many drivers leave their jobs, citing a lack of respect throughout the logistics process as a key factor. Addressing this challenge requires deeper changes in the industry—relationships built on transparency, respect, and flexibility towards drivers are essential to prevent mass departures and high employee turnover.

As an organization dedicated to driver welfare, the Truckers Life Foundation continuously monitors the satisfaction levels of this professional group.

– In response to emerging problems, the Foundation introduced the Truckers Friendly Place project, aimed at improving the working conditions of drivers at loading and unloading locations. By giving vehicle drivers a voice and providing them with a digital platform for evaluation, we aim to showcase the varying service standards at individual loading points—transparently highlighting areas that need improvement. More companies joining the Truckers Life Foundation's initiatives will help create a network of locations that set new standards for the industry, – says Dagmara Trusewicz, CEO of the Truckers Life Foundation.
