Rohlig SUUS Logistics, the largest logistics operator in Poland, is organizing the next edition of its internship program, LogiStaż. This year, the program is open not only to final-year students but also to individuals seeking to return to the workforce or transition to a new industry.

The main goal of the program is to attract individuals who will continue their careers at the company after a two-month internship. Following last year's edition, 50% of participants were offered employment at SUUS. Participating in this program provides an opportunity to gain knowledge and connect with a potential employer.

'SUUS is a family-owned company where people come first. It's important for us not only to foster employee commitment and satisfaction but also to become the top employer in the industry. That's why we aim to think outside the box and respond to the needs of our community. LogiStaż is one of the initiatives that helps us achieve this goal. We create a workplace that values and respects diversity, which is why we have expanded this year’s internship program to include candidates who want to advance their careers but often face challenges due to age. Our experience shows that they bring not only extensive knowledge but also valuable insights into business activities and processes. Their presence in teams is motivating and inspiring for younger employees, as they are eager to share their expertise while also open to learning new skills,' says Jacek Głowacz, HR Director at Rohlig SUUS Logistics.

LogiStaż is being organized for the eighth time by the Polish operator. This year, the program's substantive partner is the National Institute of Senior Economy, a think tank focused on the economic and social challenges, including the dissemination of knowledge about labor market changes resulting from demographic shifts.

'People over 50 represent nearly 40% of the population in Poland. One of the greatest challenges for this group is their professional activation and development opportunities in the labor market. Drawing on the experience of younger generations, we see that internship programs can serve as a valuable bridge for restarting or changing careers. We are very pleased with the initiative to open the LogiStaż program to older individuals, as such changes are crucial. We hope that this innovative project will inspire other companies to follow suit,' says Marzena Rudnicka, founder of the National Institute of Senior Economy and author of the Generation Dialogue Employer certification program.

The SUUS internship program is paid and lasts for two months, scheduled for July and August. Candidates will have the opportunity to complete the program in the department and location of their choice. Additionally, they will participate in interdisciplinary training, including project management, soft skills development, public speaking, and building a personal brand through social media.

Recruitment for the LogiStaż program runs until mid-June. For more information and registration, please visit the website
