Rohlig SUUS Logistics reaffirms the economic potential of Silesia. Poland's largest logistics operator, has doubled its operational capacity in Gliwice with the opening of a modern, multi-customer warehouse spanning 20,000 square meters. In this region, SUUS focuses on providing comprehensive customer support, including contract logistics, distribution to Central and Eastern European countries, and customs services.
“The Silesian Voivodeship is a modern industrial and technological hub. Foreign companies are increasingly investing here, particularly in the automotive, energy, and construction industries, moving their production or distribution centers closer to sales markets as part of nearshoring strategies. Local businesses are also growing rapidly. Consequently, the region is one of Poland’s leaders in demand for comprehensive logistics support. At SUUS in Silesia, we offer our clients a wide range of services. Recently, we opened a customs warehouse in Sosnowiec, and now we’ve launched a state-of-the-art facility in Gliwice,” said Adam Galek, a member of the management board of Rohlig SUUS Logistics.
In the Silesian Voivodeship, SUUS also operates a high-bay warehouse and a transshipment terminal in Sosnowiec, as well as a customs agency in Tychy. Altogether, the Polish operator manages nearly 40,000 square meters of logistics space in the region.
“The new logistics center significantly enhances our capabilities in contract logistics, including storage and value-added services such as order picking, labeling, and co-packing. Its location in MDC² Park Gliwice—near the A1 and A4 highways, which connect Eastern and Western Europe with Northern and Southern Europe—makes the warehouse an ideal logistics hub for distributing goods locally and across Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe, including the Balkans, Italy, and Greece,” explained Grzegorz Łukaszek, director of the Rohlig SUUS Logistics branch in Gliwice.
In Silesia, SUUS provides a full range of logistics services, including road transport (both full truckload and groupage forwarding, with daily connections to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, and a transit time of 24–48 hours), customs and tax services, contract logistics, and global transport support through its air, sea, and rail forwarding departments.
The Gliwice branch, like all new investments by the Polish operator, aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainable development. The A+ class warehouse is undergoing BREEAM certification at the highest level—Outstanding. The facility is equipped with photovoltaic installations and LED lighting controlled by an intelligent system (DALI). Electric vehicle chargers and flower meadows have been installed on-site. The office has been designed according to the "Office of the Future" concept to provide employees with maximum comfort in their daily work. Additionally, the branch features a dedicated rest area for drivers, while a picnic and recreational area—including football and basketball courts—is located nearby.
