The largest Polish logistics operator, Rohlig Suus Logistics, has opened a new warehouse in the capital of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. With this investment, the company now boasts 13,000 square meters of operational space in the region. Suus is focusing on automation, including processes based on modern elevator racks.

The new warehouse, located at ul. Lubczyńska 22A, doubles the existing warehouse space and operational capacity of the operator in the region. As a result, employment at the Szczecin branch has increased by 40 people.

‘This is our second facility in Szczecin, reflecting the growth of the region's economic potential in recent years. The West Pomeranian Voivodeship is a natural logistics hub for trade with Scandinavian countries, and this corridor plays a key role in our strategy for expanding road and intermodal transport. We are intensively growing our groupage and full truckload connections in this direction. Sustainable development is a key priority for our customers in this region, which is why we have focused on ecological solutions at this new location,’ says Adam Galek, Member of the Management Board of Rohlig Suus Logistics.

Rohlig Suus Logistics has been present in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship since 2009, offering a range of services, including warehousing, customs, and forwarding. Starting this year, the logistics operator has expanded its service offerings through the acquisition of Expert, a company specializing in last-mile pallet deliveries and additional services such as furniture assembly and the installation of household appliances and electronics. One of Expert's branches operates in Szczecin. However, specialized deliveries are not the only area where Suus plans to compete. The new warehouse on Lubczyńska Street will also focus on added services, including picking, labeling, banding, and creating product sets. Comprehensive customs services are also an important offering for customers.

‘In the new warehouse, we offer a variety of services, including storage and picking using both traditional racks and block storage. Our services target industries such as automotive, packaging, and power tools. We also have a designated area where companies can make customs declarations using the simplified procedure, eliminating the need to travel to the customs office with the cargo,’ explains Łukasz Szymański, Director of the Rohlig Suus Logistics branch in Szczecin.

The warehouse in Szczecin is currently in the process of obtaining the BREEAM certificate, demonstrating that it was built in accordance with sustainable development principles and is designed to be friendly to both people and the environment. The facility also features, among other things, LED lighting with an intelligent control system (DALI). Additionally, the new office space was designed in line with the 'Office of the Future' concept, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable working environment for employees. The office includes zones for both collaborative and individual work, as well as a designated rest area for drivers.
